The Yamhill-Carlton American Viticultural Area, home to many Oregon wine industry pioneers and the oldest soils in the Willamette Valley, is coming to Texas. Join 10 wineries for a memorable tasting experience on June 8th at III Forks Steakhouse in Dallas from 6-8pm and June 9th at Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse in Houston from 5-9pm. The producers will be pouring wine all exclusively made from Y-C AVA fruit, concentrating on Pinot Noir, as well as a small selection of other varietals. Learn firsthand about Oregon’s geology and climate and what makes the wine so alluring, complex and age worthy. While you sip, enjoy delectable bites prepared by III Forks or Vic & Anthony’s that complement the world-class wines. Hope to see you there!

Every weekend through the winter we’ll be offering delicious slow cooked dishes, casseroles and stews created by our winery chef Ashley Bowers to pair with our current flight.

Saffron Fields is holding its first featured artist exhibition on May 16 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm. Sharon Dowell, an artist included in the Saffron Fields collection, will be on-site exhibiting paintings of our vineyard and taking commissions for paintings. Sharon¹s work has been acknowledged by the art world through numerous artist-in-residence programs and by her local Charlotte NC community who have named her Best Local Artist three times. A gallery director and adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Dowell also creates public art commissions and is currently designing art for a Charlotte light rail station.Visit with Sharon Dowell in May and take home a painting of the vineyard at Saffron Fields. Artist Statement:

Several of my works focus on the Universe¹s hand coupled with the choices we make that bring us to where we are at this moment in time. I capture the energy of place, the economic boom and downturn, and explore the theme of man vs. nature. Recent travels abroad have especially impacted my work. Interested in the documentation of memory and place, I strive to find beauty in often overlooked structures and spaces. At times, commentaries on the changing environment and political or social references surface in the work.
